Answers How care works

What does a GLP-1 assessment include?

The short answer

A GLP-1 assessment is a clinical review, not a checkout step. A licensed clinician reviews your goals, medical history, current medications, prior treatment, relevant risks and whether laboratory information is needed. The assessment can lead to a medication plan, a request for more information, a different recommendation or a decision that treatment is not appropriate.

An assessment exists to reach a clinical decision. It is not a fee charged to unlock a foregone prescription.

Before the clinical visit

The scheduling step should collect only what is needed to arrange the assessment. At KÉRISSE, the public website asks for contact information, a general area and a broad goal. It deliberately does not ask for diagnoses, medication names, doses or laboratory results.

The protected clinical workflow is where detailed information belongs. That may include your health history, current prescriptions and supplements, prior treatment experience, relevant records and the questions you want the clinician to address.

During the assessment

A licensed clinician reviews the information in context. The conversation may cover:

  • what you want to change and what you have already tried;
  • current medications and potential interactions;
  • medical and family history relevant to the decision;
  • previous reactions or reasons treatment was stopped;
  • whether laboratory information or an in-person task is needed;
  • the available treatment and non-medication pathways; and
  • what monitoring would look like if care continues.

The possible outcomes

A real assessment can conclude:

  1. a medication pathway may be appropriate;
  2. more information or laboratory work is needed first;
  3. another care pathway makes more sense; or
  4. treatment is not appropriate.

If medication is recommended, the exact plan, cost and follow-up cadence should be explained before payment. A request form, payment or prior prescription does not replace that judgment.

Terms in this answer

Hover, tap or tab to any of these for a plain-language definition.

  • Clinical assessment A structured review of your history, medications, goals and eligibility by a licensed clinician, ending in a decision about whether treatment is appropriate for you. An assessment is only real if no is a possible answer.
  • GLP-1 A class of medication that acts on a hormone your body already makes to regulate blood sugar and appetite. It is prescribed only when a licensed clinician judges it appropriate for a specific person. It is one possible part of a plan, never the whole plan.
  • Progress visit A scheduled clinical appointment inside each care cycle where your clinician reviews how you are responding and tolerating treatment, then adjusts, pauses or stops the plan. A support inbox is not a progress visit. This is the step most programs skip.
  • Titration Adjusting a medication dose in steps, guided by how a person responds and tolerates it, rather than starting at a target dose. It is a clinical decision made at a progress visit, not a schedule you follow on your own.

Related questions

Does paying for an assessment guarantee a prescription?
No. The assessment pays for clinical review and judgment. A legitimate outcome can be yes, not yet, a different pathway or no.
Are laboratory tests always required?
Not automatically. A clinician decides whether existing information is sufficient and whether specific laboratory work is clinically appropriate. Any separate laboratory cost should be explained before you agree to it.
Should I enter my medications on the public KÉRISSE request form?
No. The public form collects contact information and a general goal. Medication names, doses, diagnoses and records belong in the protected clinical workflow after the team contacts you.
